Traditional karate seminar in Natal (Brazil)
Sensei Wlodzimierz Kwiecinski 7 Dan ITKF, Chairman of the Traditional Karate Federation of Poland and sensei Nelson Carrion 6 Dan ITKF held traditional karate seminar in Natal (Brazil) on February 27-28.
The subject of the training was the practical application of basic principles of traditional karate and maximizing impact. Seminar was organized by Traditional Karate Federation of Rio Grande do Norte, which president is Alexsandro Jobson Machado de Souza, son of many times representative of Brazil in traditional karate Nilton Aurimar Tiburcio de Souza, with cooperation of the Confederation of Brazilian Traditional Karate (CBKT). The seminar took place in a sports hall at the University of Natal. Participants among others were Mateus Natsuo – General Secretary of the CBKT, Jose Humberto de Souza – Chairman of the Judges Committee of the CBKT, and about 100 participants from 8 states of Brazil: Alagoas, Ceara, Goias, Mato Grosso, Paraiba, Parana, Pernambuco and Rio Grande do Norte – the participants from this state came from towns: Mossoro, Joao Camara, Ceara-Mirim, Santa Cruz and the capital city – Natal.
On Friday, February 26, before the seminar a conference took place in Natal. During the conference sensei Wlodzimierz Kwiecinski presented the origins and definition of traditional karate. The conference ended with discussion about the values of traditional karate. In Brazil traditional karate is practiced by about 90 thousand people.
The seminar was very well received by participants. In September 2010 in 5 cities of Brazil sensei Wlodzimierz Kwiecinski woll hold traditional karate seminars.
In Brazil, in Curitiba, on 9-15 November the 15th World Traditional Karate Championship will take place.
