The 7th Traditional Karate World Cup 2013
7th Traditional Karate World Cup 2013
June 15, 2013
Lublin, Poland
The 7th Traditional Karate World Cup will be held on June 15, 2013 in Lublin (Poland) at 5 pm. In the World Cup there will compete 8 top world men’s and 8 women’s traditional karate athletes. The 2013 World Cup will be held under the auspices of the Polish Minister of Sport and Tourism Mrs. Joanna Mucha and will be combined with a tournament for young traditional karate athletes – Traditional Karate Polish Children’s Cup.
We feel honoured to announce that the 2013 World Cup will be dedicated to the memory of Dan Stuparu Sensei who passed away on 28 April 2013. We still feel deep grief after his sudden and unexpected passing and we cannot accept that he is no longer with us especially in view of the forthcoming World Cup. He has participated in all previous editions of the World Cup since 2001 and he was supposed to participate with the Romanian athletes in 2013 edition, too. With this dedication we would like to express our honour to his lifelong hard work on the Traditional Karate development.
Participants: Member Federations of the International Traditional Karate Federation (ITKF)
Remark: The Host will not issue any official invitations to organizations which are not the ITKF members
