Official visit ITKF delegation to Kiev (Ukraine)
ITKF delegation visited Ukraine, Kiev on 26-27 January 2009. Delegation met with Mr. Sergey Bubka – Ukrainian Member of the International Olympic Committee and Mr. Vitold Fokin – Honorary President of Ukrainian Traditional Karate-Do Federation.
The meeting at the Ukrainian Olympic Committee in Kiev (Ukraine) took place on the 26 January 2009. The following officials: the ITKF Vice-President Mr. Luciano Puricelli, the ITKF Vice-President Mr. Wlodzimierz Kwiecinski, President of Ukrainian Traditional Karate-Do Federation (UTKF) Mr. Vladimir Savchenko and UTKF Vice-President Mr. Aleksandr Kolesnik met with Mr. Sergey Bubka – President of National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and member of the International Olympic Committee. The main aim of the meeting is to present the current situation of Karate in the international Olympic movement and the future of traditional karate.
On the 27 January 2009 the members of the ITKF delegation met with Mr. Vitold Fokin – first prime Minister of Ukraine, Honorary President of Ukrainian Traditional Karate-Do Federation. The aim of the meeting is to invite Mr. V.Fokin, friend of former ITKF President Sensei Hidetaka Nishiyama, to the opening ceremony of the Japanese Martial Arts and Sports Center “Dojo – Stara Wies” (Poland). The Center is planned to be opened on October 10, 2009.
Mr. Vitold Fokin taken invitation and agree his participation in the opening ceremony, that will be held under the patronage of Lech Walesa – former President of Republic of Poland.
