INTERNATIONAL TRADITIONAL KARATE SEMINAR IN VILNIUS
Sensei Wlodzimierz Kwiecinski conducted international traditional karate seminar on 22-24 April 2005 in Vilnius (Lithuania).
On the first day Sensei Kwiecinski and president of Lithuanian Traditional Karate Association Mr. Giedrius Dranevicius participated in press conference to present a new sport project – Lithuanian national karate league. They also had official appointment with deputy of Sport Department Mr. Ritas Vaiginas. There were presented and discused the following subjects:
1.Principles of lithuanian national karate league based on the structure of the World Cup.
2.Features and system of Traditional Karate League of Poland presented by Sensei Kwiecinski hosted in Poland since 2001.
3.Discussion about finiancial support for LTKA and finance system for Traditional Karate Federation of Poland.
More than 100 members of Lithuanian traditional karate association took part in the seminar. In the seminar there also participated delegation from Latvia. The subject of the seminar was the pirnciple as centre of gravity, body dynamics, timing, ofence and defence techniques. There was also a master course of Ki-Tei for national team, judge, instructors.
Sensei Kwiecinski has opened the first Lithuanian national karate league – the first out of three stages. 8 best traditional karate athletes took part in the tournament. The winner of the first meeting was Rytis Bublevicius, current world vice-champion in fuku go of (Davos 2004). Next two stages will be organized in July and September.
