International Traditional Karate Seminar in the Dojo – Stara Wies
Sensei Avi Rokah 6 Dan ITKF held the International Traditional Karate Seminar in the Japanese Martial Arts and Sport Centre ‘Dojo – Stara Wies’ in Stara Wies (Poland) on May 7-9 May. The seminar was the continuation of the seminars conducted annually by Nishiyama Sensei in Poland since 1992.
250 persons from Armenia, Czech Republic, England, Germany, Lithuania, Russia, Spain, USA and Poland participated in the seminar. The subject of the training among others was a footwork, timing, maximizing impact, Han-Getsu kata and Tekki Shodan kata.
Participants of the seminar heard the lecture of Prof. Tomasz Karski "Karate in prophylaxis of children’s and youth’s bad posture and idiopathic scoliosis in Poland".
2nd tournament of the Traditional Karate League of Poland 2010 took place in Dojo – Stara Wies on May 8. The best Polish athletes, both men and women, competed during the League. Marta Niewczas won the tournament in women’s category and Lukasz Wojcik in men’s category.
