On 17 – 22 August 2004 in Sopot (Poland) the International Traditional Karate Seminar Gasshuku 2004 took place. The current-year seminar celebrated its 15th jubilee.
In Gasshuku 2004 there participated 320 karate practitioners from Polish clubs and sections as well as Europe, namely from Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine.
Training sessions in Sopot were held by the world’s top traditional karate masters: Sensei Robert Fusaro 7 Dan (USA) – legendary instructor of traditional karate, first foreign student of Japan Karate Association, Sensei Avi Rokah 6 Dan from Los Angeles (USA) – assistant of Sensei Hidetaka Nishiyama, kumite ITKF world champion, Sensei Justo Gomez 5 Dan (Argentina) – repeated ITKF world champion in kumite and fuku-go, Sensei Nelson Carrion 5 Dan (Costa Rica) – ITKF registered instructor. The chief coordinator of Gasshuku 2004 was Sensei Wlodzimierz Kwiecinski 6 Dan – chief coach of the national team of Poland, Chairman of Traditional Karate Federation of Poland, Vice-President of European Traditional Karate Federation.
The seminar ended up with an examination for kyu and master grades. The results are as follows:

During Gasshuku 2004 the Final Matches of Traditional Karate League of Poland 2004 took place. In the tournament there competed the best Polish 7 men and 7 women athletes. The tournament was held on a beautiful pier in Sopot – the longest pier in Europe. Instructors of Gasshuku 2004 were the honorary guests of the event. Moreover we hosted representatives of the city authorities and media, sponsors and large audience.
