FAIR PLAY 2002 FOR TRADITIONAL KARATE FEDERATION OF POLAND
We are pleased to inform that Traditional Karate Federation of Poland received the prize – Fair Play 2002, conferred annually by the Polish Olympic Committee.
We were rewarded with that prize for excellent behaviour of the audience during traditional karate tournaments in 2002, also during European Traditional Karate Cup which took place in Lodz on 7 December 2002.
The prize was handed to Mr. W3odzimierz Kwiecinski – Chairman of Traditional Karate Federation of Poland by: Mrs. Irena Szewinska – Member of International Olympic Committee, Mr. Stanislaw Stefan Paszczyk – President of Polish Olympic Committee and Mr. Jeno Kamuti – Chairman of International Fair Play Committee UNESCO.
In the ceremony there also participated the following noble persons: Mrs. Maria Kwasniewska – Maleszewska – Nestor of the Polish Olympic Team, bronze medallist in javelin throw during 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, Mrs. Zofia Zukowska – Chairman of Fair Play Committee in Poland and Mr. Vladimir Rodiczenko – Vice-President of Russian Olympic Committee.
On that occasion we would like to thank all traditional karate fans, who in the present, sometimes cruel times, can cheer according to fair play rules.
