ETKF EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP MACEDONIA 2004
The national team of Poland came back with great successes after 25th European Traditional Karate ETKF Championship of Seniors and 8th European Traditional Karate ETKF Championship of Cadets and Juniors. The events took place on 26-27 June 2004 in Skopje (Macedonia) hosted by Macedonian Traditional Karate Federation.
In the championships there participated 301 traditional karate athletes from 21 countries.
Polish athletes brought 22 medals – 10 won by seniors (3 golden, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals) and 12 by cadets and juniors (6 golden, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals).
The following athletes from Poland managed to defend their titles: Marta Niewczas – European champion in senior women’s individual kumite; Krzysztof Neugebauer, Piotr Kulczyñski, Damian Karwacki – European vice-champions in senior men’s team kata. We are especially glad with the first place of women’s team kata seniors (Iwona Furmanek, Katarzyna Krzywanska, Joanna Szeremeta), who managed to overscore the team from Italy.
